So What's New? The biggest news is that we have set up a pricing structure that makes BlockWise affordable for smaller Factoring operations. BlockWise can now be cost effective for operations managing 400 or more properties. The 400 property mark is really the point at which doing it all by spreadsheet and ledger becomes a headache.

News in Brief. We have improved the implementation facilities. Direct Debits and Standing Orders are catered for and multiple Proposed Works accounts have now been implemented. The Job Control has been refined and is now controlling thousands of maintenance jobs a day across Scotland. Developments have preferred suppliers so that you can send the contractor who knows the site back for further work or ensure that the workman who upset them last time does not go back to that development again.

BlockWise Progress. Two months is a long time in the history of BlockWise. Since the BlockWise package was completed in July we have had a great response to our mailings. We have been demonstrating the package to firms involved in Factoring/Buildings Management with almost 100% success. Property Managers don’t take long to realise that in BlockWise there is at last a package that approaches the job from a Property Manager’s point of view. Competing software packages in this field are all accounting packages with factoring facilities built into them. BlockWise is a factoring package which supports the Property Managers day to day requirements which has a two tier accounting system behind it. One tier for owners and one tier for developments.
Our users tell us that the job is a whole lot less stressful since their firm installed BlockWise. They feel happy to take on more factoring work with the same staffing levels. Ask us for a reference to confirm it. |

Job Control. Job Control keeps track of contractor payments and WIP. Contractor loading can also be tracked to ensure one contractor is not overloaded with work.
A Contractor/Supplier can be temporarily or permanently be removed from the approved supplier list if you fall out with them.

| Credit Control. Credit Control has also been polished after it’s launch in the summer. An immediate warning comes up if an Owner that has been passed to the Credit Control system pays any money. The user can then decide against which debts that money goes to. In larger firms this is handled by a debt collection department; more usually by bookkeeping and accounts. Both scenarios are catered for so that a Credit Control Department can work independently if that is required. The Property Manager in a smaller firm can cover all these functions, BlockWise is convenient whatever size of operation you have. Debt Control reports cover all stages of collection. |

Management Reporting. One area which is very popular is the Management Reporting. Everything is now available from Factoring Revenues across the whole operation, through Development reports to take to committee meetings, to Proposed Works statements. Where appropriate, reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel for additional data to be added or presentations to be prepared. |

Others Experience. Once a firm has implemented BlockWise it is rare that billings go out more than ten days after their due date, even for the largest developments. Most billings are out within 3 days of being due. One of our larger clients, who is running over 10,000 properties, bills out in under 3 days for 90% of his properties! A contented Property Manager is one who is up to date and not stressed.
